چکیده

incidence of hepatic metastases is greatly aug mented by either direct hepatic trauma (3) or liver damage induced by a variety of other modalities such as alteration of hepatic blood flow (4), inter ference with reticuloendothelial function (7), or cirrhosis produced with carbon tetrachioride ,(8). In addition, growth of dormant tumor cells has been stimulated by hepatic injury (5). The precise mechanism(s) whereby such damage enhances tumor growth is not known. However, the possi biity has been considered that damaged or regen erating liver accelerated tumor growth through the elaboration of a humoral factor similar to that which has been noted (2, 18, 24) to influence liver

Effect of Six Weeks of Interval Exercise Training along with Selenium Nanoparticle Ingestion on Bcl-2 and LC3 Genes expression in the Tumor Tissue of Breast Tumor–Bearing Mice

Introduction: Some factors such as exercise training and pharmacological interventions can slow tumor growth. To determine the underlying mechanisms, we investigated the effect of six weeks of interval exercise training along with ingestion on Bcl-2 and LC3 genes expression in the tumor tissue of breast tumor–bearing mice. Methods: Twelve female BALB/c mice were injected with cancer cell line a...

بررسی ارتباط میزان تراکم عروقی و فاکتور رشد عروقی(VEGF) با تهاجم موضعی رتینوبلاستوما در بیمارستان حضرت رسول اکرم(ص)، 85-1379

Background & Aim: Retinoblastoma is the most frequent intra-ocular tumor in childhood. The tumor has both endophytic and exophytic patterns of growth. After enucleation, the pathologist is called on to evaluate risk of further growth for prophylactic therapy. Invasion of the choroid or optic nerve are risk factors for developing metastases, but occasionally, metastatic or locally invasive t...

Quantification of Mean Vessel Density in Retinoblastoma and Its Correlation with Local Tumor Invasion and Patients Survival

Background and Objectives: Retinoblastoma is the most common intraocular pediatric malignancy. Angiogenic factor expression such as VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) in retinoblastoma can be confirmatory angiogenic potential of this tumor. This study was performed to determine the role of angiogenesis in local invasion of retinoblastoma and its correlation with patients’ sur...

Investigating FGF11 gene transcription level in cancer cells among colorectal cancer patients

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the fourth leading cause of cancer-caused death around the world. Reports of the unnecessary transcription of family genes of the fibroblast growth factor in several types of cancer indicate the role of these factors in tumorgenesis and progression of cancer. Therefore, the level of FGF11 transcription was evaluated in colorectal cancer tumor tissues relat...

The effect of exercise training on the level of tissue IL-6 and vascular endothelial growth factor in breast cancer bearing mice

Objective(s): The goal of this study was assessing the prophylactic effect of exercise and its role as an adjuvant therapy on level of cytokines involved in angiogenesis in estrogen-dependent breast cancer. Materials and Methods: Forty female BALB/c mice were randomly assigned to exercise-tumor-exercise (ETE), exercise-tumor-rest (ETR), rest-tumor-exercise (RTE) and rest-tumor-rest (RTR) groups...
